Welcome

Discussion of your dental needs & desired outcomes
Review of your dental history, medical history & medications
Vitals (blood pressure, temperature, salivary pH)
Photographs of your smile & individual teeth
A full set of digital X-Rays
3D X-Ray (CBCT) if needed
Complete periodontal charting
Diagnostic models or 3D scan (if needed)
Examination by doctor (evaluation of TMJ, occlusion, oral cancer screening, dental exam, periodontal exam, airway, tongue tie)
Discussion about dental and periodontal findings, oral hygiene, dental concerns, esthetics, diet, supplements, sleep habits, etc. Often this is done in collaboration with registered dental hygienist.
Depending on the complexity of your needs, we may review treatment recommendations during this appointment. In some cases, we schedule a separate appointment to review findings and treatment options.

Dr. Aronson will not perform a comprehensive exam without X-Rays. Radiographs provide additional information and serve as a baseline of your current condition. These images are an important part of your dental records and are often referred to in the future to monitor for changes in your dental health.
You will NOT have a cleaning at your first visit. Prior to scheduling a cleaning appointment, we must complete a periodontal examination and discuss your needs.

Dr. Aronson will perform an exam that focuses on the problem you are experiencing.
We will take at least two x-rays of the tooth or teeth that are in pain. We may need to take a 3D image (CBCT).
During this appointment, we may be able provide do same-day treatment, refer you to a specialist, or find a more convenient time to schedule treatment.
